The best way to get cash in Colombia is to use a debit card. Bringing cash and going to a money-changing place will end up giving you a horrible exchange rate. With that in mind, the best ATMs are with the bank Davivienda. They are the only one that we know of that doesn’t charge a fee. BUT, be careful to NOT accept Davivienda’s exchange rate, as we frequently see a $40 difference from our own bank’s exchange rate.

(At El Dorado airport, there is a Davivienda ATM on the second floor.)
There is an ATM in our local villages, which charge about $5 in transaction fee. The most that you can withdraw is 2.000.000 cop (about $500).
