It’s a good idea to bring a $ or € 20 bill and exchange it at the airport for
pesos, just so you have some pocket money. If you’re going to be paying for
the private driver, you might make that $ or € 100. Otherwise, the best idea is
to take money out as needed with a debit card at an ATM. We do not
recommend bringing a lot of cash, otherwise. Helpful Hint – at the ATMs, it’s
generally better to NOT accept the ATM conversion rate, but your own bank’s.
Make sure you notify your bank before coming, so that they don’t lock your
card in Colombia.
