ArteSumapaz is a center for the arts with:
- Alternative art school
- Artists Residency
- Intentional Community
- Reforestation project
- Art Park
- Performing arts center
- Exhibition center
- Agriculture – as part of sustainability, producing food onsite for community use
ArteSumapaz is located on 152 fanegadas (98 hectares, or 242 acres). The property is located in the municipality of San Bernardo, Cundinamarca. In most recent years, the property had been used as a cow farm, although historically the farm was part of a larger coffee plantation. The program was initiated in 2019 by co-founders Pedro Crump and Ric Dragon.
Each of the parts of the center complements the activities of the other parts. The residencies expose students to the thinking of international artists, while the community creates a backbone of social continuity. In turn, members of the local community participate in and benefit from the activities of the school and residency.
ArteSumapaz is focused on the arts as its principal mission.
