There is still time to join the Intentional Community at ArteSumapaz
We only have two more lots in CuatroVientos and three more lots available in DosQuebradas . So, if you’ve been looking to create a second home or even a permanent artistic retreat in nature, this is for you.
Becoming a member of the intentional community at ArteSumapaz means investing in a place to slow down, to settle in, and give real time to your craft while also being part of a small community of artists, nature lovers, and creatives. It means living creatively in a unique natural setting (read more about ArteSumapaz’ location here) that has a benevolent climate all year round.

Nature, art, and community
The cornerstone of the intentional community at ArteSumapaz is art and culture, as experienced through a sustainable relationship with nature. Our mission is to nurture the creation of and the connection with art and culture in Colombia, inspired by and through a respect for nature and community. We have joined a global movement of intentional communities focused on sustainable, creative ways of living together.

DosQuebradas and CuatroVientos
DosQuebradas is located on the lower section of Finca Australia, which is modeled on an “eco village”, with homes built with bioconstruction techniques and communal areas (kitchen, garden, social area) to be agreed upon by the community.
CuatroVientos islocated uphill from the artist residency campus, covering an area of roughly 15,000 m2, divided into a maximum of 12 lots.
What’s more
Joining the intentional community and building a creative home here opens doors beyond just having a space to live more sustainably and focus on your creative practice. Among these is the possibility to get involved with local projects and collaborations, such as our reforestation project or collaborative creative projects with the wider local community.
Additionally, you may rent your home or do studio swaps with artists from abroad. In fact, one of our members will swap their studio with an artist based in Paris this year. These experiences enrich not only the individuals who travel but the whole community, as ideas, techniques, and inspirations circulate freely. It will also allow members to share their homes and build connections with a broader community of artists.
If this resonates with you, EMAIL US. We’d love to meet you and explore whether this could be your next chapter.

Hi, My name is Holly Meinert. I had interviewed for a residency opportunity last year but at the time was not able to meet the financial requirements. I am interested in learning more about the eco- village opportunity at DosQuebradas. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Hi Holly. Nice to hear from you. We’ll reach out to you via email and send you more information 🙂
